Abstract

Because they are lighter and less expensive than traditional hot-rolled members, cold-formed sections are used extensively in steel construction. CFS segments are because of their various benefits, including a higher burden to-weight proportion, shapeability, and accessibility over somewhat lengthy ranges, they have as of late been utilized in development. CFS channel sections can be used as joists and purlins in the structural system; As a consequence of this, they are open to a variety of buckling instabilities, such as web crippling. The numerical study of web crippling strength of channel section is included in this paper, and the models are validated against the experiments that were carried out.
