Abstract

There is a wide supply of wind energy, one of the non-conventional kinds of energy. A vertical axis wind turbine may be used to produce electricity. In order to maximize the amount of electricity generated by this wind energy, we chose a highway as our installation location since moving cars on both sides of the road allow us to take advantage of the wind. According to requirements, the turbine is designed and built using semi-circular blades that are attached to a disc that is attached to the shaft. The shaft is then attached to the pulley with the assistance of a bearing, and the pulley is subsequently linked to the alternator, which provides electricity. Battery-powered devices may be utilized for street lights, signals, and tolls. This project's prototype was built on a modest scale for the sole purpose of evaluating its functionality. So that the government may consider this project and deploy this kind of vertical axis wind turbine on roads at an affordable cost, this project sets out to achieve maximum production with least expenditure.
