DESIGN AND OPERATION OF LOW COST PORTABLE POWER GENERATION USING HAND PEDAL FOR MULTIPURPOSE

Abstract


In the modern era where the power requirement is high, this project will be useful for the production of power without effecting the environment such as global warming, greenhouse gas, pollution etc Pedal power generation use the human support to produce the power. In this paper an alternator is used as an electricity generator. The motor is coupled to a pulley in bicycle structure as chain sprocket system. In existing inventions, most components of pedal power generation are present. With the bicycle structure it brings an innovation in generating the power through hand pedal thus this pedal power generator will inspire many students and the public with the innovative idea. In our country as the necessity of power is high so it can be used in the villages by small family by pedaling and storing the energy in the battery and this will not only provide electricity when needed but also it will an physical exercise for the person while pedaling, Due to wide range of application with low initial and very low maintenance cost this will be very useful.
