Automatic Solar Lamp
Abstract
The automatic solar lamp system offers a simple yet effective solution for autonomous outdoor lighting. The design employs a transistor-based switching mechanism controlled by a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR), enabling the lamp to turn ON and OFF automatically according to ambient light levels. The LDR functions similarly to the human eye by detecting illumination intensity and triggering the switching circuit without any manual intervention. This eliminates the need for predefined ON/OFF timing and significantly reduces manual effort. By relying on solar energy and intelligent control, the system minimizes electrical energy consumption, providing an efficient and sustainable lighting approach. The proposed circuit incorporates an Light dependent sensor (LDR), solar panel, rechargeable battery, transistor, potentiometer (POT), resistor, capacitor, and LED, forming a compact and reliable automatic lighting solution.
