Ready Made Garments (RMG) sector at present which is considered as the Blood economy of Bangladesh since last 35 years faced a harsh crisis due to demand of more land for larger extension in this sector in the mega city, Dhaka and therefore shifted to peripheral sub urban areas where land scarcity and value were relatively low. Over populated Dhaka in need of transfer to northern part of Savar, Tongi and Gazipur flourished with numerous factories. But due to lack of concern by Property authority and management system, the accommodation of the migrant factory workers especially the women work force had been ignored by years. There are no proper dormitories for women workers which can ensure their utmost needs and can live with a satisfactory level. As a result, they depend on local people’s houses; they rent and share with them. Moreover the local farm land owners/farmers find it lucrative Business to transform their inherited farm land to make those as rental accommodation. The paper depicts their affordable housing form and type which have been derived spontaneously from the traditional rural house form to fulfil the basic housing needs of the migrant workers. The paper also examines their livelihood, problems and scope of these contemporary rentable housing for future housing problem solution and also for the socio economic up gradation as well.
