Abstract


The comprehensive study delves into Lean Construction methodologies with a focus on enhancing efficiency the exploration navigates through multiple facets crucial to the successful implementation of lean practices. The paper highlights the origins of lean construction emphasizing its potential to streamline operations and productivity. It highlights the challenges faced within the industry including cost escalations, inefficiencies and barriers hindering effective lean construction. Through a meticulous literature review, the paper uncovers crucial insights from various studies. It unveils the barriers to lean implementation, ranging from organizational issues, lack of support from government and stakeholders. The exploration encompasses lean principles, emphasizing the holistic approach of lean construction in optimizing processes, minimizing waste and fostering value creation. The Last Planner system surfaces as a promising solution aligning stakeholder requirements for effective decision-making and continuous improvement. Furthermore, the study focuses on lean teams and the importance of collaboration.
