Polyurethane Panels Viability in Building Construction

Khushi Joshi

Abstract

Buildings account for up to 40% of global energy consumption, with developing countries like India relying heavily on non-renewable sources for power generation. The growing construction industry exacerbates climate change through energy consumption for heating and cooling. Therefore, focusing on energy-efficient building materials and sustainable technologies is crucial. This study explores the properties of Polyurethane Foam (PUF) sandwich panels, analyzing their sustainability and energy efficiency potential as building materials.
