Abstract

Brain health directly affects overall health and quality of life. The brain is classified as the most prominent and complex part of the human body. The brain deals intelligence, interpreter of the senses, initiator of body effort, and controller of behavior. The purpose of this study is to gather food and nutrient recommendations for the development of brain health. Data was collected from scientific articles published by Google scholar, PubMed and Research Gate following the PRISMA model. Results showed nutrient including omega-3 fatty acids, curcumin, flavonoids, saturated fat, B vitamins, vitamin D & E, choline, combination of vitamins (C, E, carotene), calcium, zinc, selenium, copper and Iron and fatty fish, coffee, blueberries, turmeric, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, nuts, oranges, eggs and green tea as foods.
