Pooja M R, Spoorthi M

Abstract

After the outbreak in Wuhan, China, the World Health Organization declared COVID 19 a pandemic. The disease has had a negative impact on the economy in the global and on daily life. A bulk of educational institutions      have accepted online platforms, and students and faculty are working from home. This shift has simulated a proliferation of on-line crimes. Cruel attackers used COVID-19 as an opportunity to launch Cyber Attacks for financial gain and to spread their sinful intentions. As a result of COVID-19, victims are targeted to phishing attacks. In this study, we identified few major cyber security threats, also talk about the mitigation steps to control such Cyber Attacks in pandemic time, concerns about the privacy that has been raised by COVID-19.
