Smart Prepared Meter

Pranay Dattani

Abstract

Smart prepaid meters are cutting-edge gadgets that let customers pay for their energy use up front, offering a more flexible and practical billing alternative. This study created and assessed a smart prepaid meter system utilizing GSM technology. A power electronic meter and a GSM module made up the system, which allowed for remote communication and real-time monitoring of energy use. Through simulations and laboratory testing, the system's performance was assessed, confirming its correctness and dependability. The findings of this study show how smart prepayment meters that use GSM technology have the potential to transform how energy is consumed and controlled, benefiting both energy companies and customers. The technology might have a big influence on the energy sector and marks a step toward the creation of more effective and sustainable energy systems.
