A Comprehensive Review on Synchronization Techniques for abnormal grid conditions

Burla Sridhar

Abstract

In the recent years renewable solar energy is alacritous escalated technology in the electrical power sector. The grid connected renewable solar model in the recent decade has impelled the researchers with the advance methods of synchronization of grid connected renewable solar model. The standalone systems are being replaced by grid connected renewable solar model very effectively due to advanced synchronization techniques. Solar energy is in surplus which makes the grid connected renewable solar model with advance power electronic devices more popular among the researchers. The pollution free and environment friendly solar light encourages decentralized generation. The manuscript offers theoretical review to increase the interest of researchers on grid integrated PV system. The parameters like frequency, amplitude and phase voltage of grid are of greatest importance that are to be estimated and maintained in synchronization of grid connected renewable solar model. The commonly applied synchronization is phase-locked loop technique effectively to generate reference signal the to maintain the power system oscillations. This review paper concentrates on the synchronization techniques with a comparative analysis of innumerable PLL techniques based on their advantages and limitations.
