Architectural Conservation - Saving our Heritage
Abstract
Architectural conservation is a branch of architecture that deals with a wide range of concerns affecting our architectural heritage resources, including historic structures, groupings of buildings, historic districts, heritage cities, and cultural landscapes. This ‘living' heritage is also in symbiotic interactions with the natural ecosystems in which it arose. Understanding and preserving this interdependent ecological network can make a substantial contribution to enhancing environmental quality.
