ASSESSMENT OF RISKS WITHIN FAST-TRACK CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
Abstract
This research aims to enhance the understanding of fast-track construction projects, particularly in the high-rise sector, where the overlapping of design and construction phases presents unique challenges. A comprehensive literature review will be conducted to gather insights from academic sources, industry reports, and case studies, enabling the categorization of associated risks. To further quantify these risks, a structured questionnaire will be developed and administered to construction professionals with expertise in fast-track high-rise projects. By utilizing a Likert scale, the research seeks to collect data on the probability of occurrence and the potential impact of the identified risks. The subsequent analysis of the questionnaire responses will facilitate the creation of a risk severity matrix, allowing for the classification of risks into high, medium, and low severity levels. Ultimately, these findings aim to provide construction professionals with valuable insights, promoting proactive risk management, reducing cost and schedule overruns, and enhancing the overall success of fast-track high-rise construction projects.
