An Experimental Study on Locally available soil to improve the stability

Abstract

Here the study is done to improve the properties of the alluvial soil by adding bitumen emulsion. An attempt is made to enhance the CBR value by adding bitumen emulsion to the taken soil sample.After this cement is added to improve its strength.It is observed that excellent soil strength results by using cationic bitumen emulsion (CMS) with little quantity of cement used as filler. Various test conditions were developed to show the variation in dry density and CBR value to achieve the best possible strength properties of alluvial soil.
