ASSESSING THE VIABILITY OF GREEN FINANCE IN INDIA'S EMERGING ECONOMY

Abstract


Every entity like public, private and nonprofit sectors is been moving towards the sustainable environment growth by the usage and applications of green finance that aims at promoting resilient and environmentally sustainable products. Organizations like UN environment is also working towards aligning these global financial systems by 20-30 across all the companies around the world in adopting this green finance so that they can achieve the sustainable development growth. In case of India the economy can be improved and green finance strategy is very crucial since India is a developing economy utilizing while developing the economy and increasing the GDP helps the helps country like India to adopt these strategies initially, where the statistics says that India needs dollars approx.4.5 trillion dollars in developing these green infrastructure if the funding is done by 2040 it includes both the investment done in public and private sector organizations which include financial institutions that helps in building this green finance infrastructure. Search paper aims to provide the insights about green financing and how it can be done in Indian public-private sector where it gives pros and cons of starting this idea and if any issues; on how to reduce it. This research paper basically follows descriptive analysis and the secondary data from various government reports and publications from private and financial institutions other public sector information. It also talks about various strategies that can be adopted includes the factors like analysing whether the green investment is profitable, technology and various norms that has to be implemented in promoting green financing in various financial institutions this paper also talks about how it can potentially benefit the environment and mitigate the problems of the climate change through bringing awareness definitions and coordinated policies and profitable incentives for the institutions and investors plays a key role in mitigating these obstacles.
