The Following are Essential Characteristics of Periodontitis: Etiology, Epidemiology, Pathophysiology, Histopathology, Diagnosis, Differential Diagnosis, Treatment, Prognosis, and Complications
Abstract
The condition known as periodontitis affects the tissue that surrounds the tooth. There are both systemic and local etiological factors that affect the disease. In the oral cavity, periodontitis is one of the most prevalent conditions. Since the condition affects the patient's overall health in addition to causing tooth loss, it is critical to treat it as soon as possible. The activity examines the diagnosis and treatment of periodontitis and provides information on its pathophysiology. In terms of the treatment of patients affected by periodontitis, this activity emphasizes the importance of the interprofessional team.
