Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of an automated cleaning system intended for use with photovoltaic (PV) modules. Dust buildup is a significant factor that reduces the efficiency of PV systems by blocking solar radiation from reaching the module surface, which leads to a decrease in power output. The proposed system is capable of monitoring voltage and current from the PV module to calculate its power generation. The circuit was designed and simulated using Proteus 8 Professional. Simulation results indicate that the system can effectively detect power losses caused by dust accumulation. In response, the motorized cleaning mechanism activates to remove the dust. The project is currently in progress, with plans to construct a working prototype to validate the system's functionality.
