Pavithralakshmi P, Narmatha M

Abstract

The Dowry Defend project is a mobile-based application developed to help victims of dowry harassment and abuse by providing a secure and accessible digital support platform. The system allows users to register complaints, upload evidence such as photos, videos, or documents, track the status of their cases, and seek counselling or legal help. It is built using the Flutter framework with Firebase as the backend for authentication, data storage, and real-time updates. The app also includes features such as SOS alerts and location tracking to ensure the victim’s safety during emergencies. By integrating technology with social welfare, Dowry Defend aims to empower victims, promote awareness about women’s rights, and assist authorities in taking timely action against dowry-related offenses..
