The global shift toward remote work, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has significantly transformed corporate landscapes. This study examines the impact of remote work on employee productivity within multinational corporations (MNCs) in India. With the growing adoption of hybrid and fully remote work models, understanding the productivity outcomes in this new work environment has become a critical concern for organizations.

The research explores how remote work affects productivity, considering various factors such as work environment, communication patterns, technological support, employee engagement, and access to resources. The study investigates how employees balance work and personal life while working remotely, the role of digital tools in enhancing or hindering productivity, and how leadership styles and organizational culture influence remote work outcomes.

The findings suggest that remote work has both positive and negative effects on productivity. While employees report increased productivity due to reduced commute times and greater flexibility, challenges such as isolation, work-life balance difficulties, and limited access to resources persist.

These insights are crucial as organizations continue to adapt to hybrid or remote-first models and aim to maintain high productivity levels while fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
