Liquidity, Leverage, and Profitability: A Financial Study of GVK
Abstract
Financial performance analysis is essential for understanding a company's stability, profitability, and growth potential. This study examines the financial health of GVK Infrastructure Limited from 2021 to 2023 using ratio analysis and comparative financial statement analysis. By evaluating key indicators such as liquidity, profitability, and solvency, the research highlights trends in the company’s financial position. Findings reveal that GVK’s debt has significantly increased, raising financial risk, while liquidity has declined due to reduced cash reserves. Despite this, net worth and total assets have shown moderate growth, indicating some financial stability. However, a decrease in investments and negative working capital trends suggest cash flow challenges. To ensure long-term stability, GVK must focus on reducing debt, strengthening cash flow management, and optimizing investments. This study offers insights for investors, analysts, and policymakers assessing infrastructure sector companies' financial performance.
