

Bet on Electric vehicle or Internal Combustion Engine Challenge for Indian Automobile Industry in Four wheeler Segment
Abstract
The future of the Indian automobile industry today is in the challenging phase that is to make one of the most important decisions yet: to switch to electric vehicles or remain with internal combustion engine vehicles. Uncontrolled emissions and standard set on automobile emission and the need to cut our carbon footprint outline by adoption of EVs in India and lack of proper charging stations for cars, expensive production of such vehicles while they are still ICE vehicles across country and de pendency of fossil fuel is still present. on the same note, it shows that ICE vehicles are predominant due to their convenience on long distance. This paper considers the sales of ICE vehicles and EVs to define future pathway on where should automobile companies go ahead in development of vehicles and major challenge faced by automobile companies is government decisions on ICE or EV in the coming years, as government on one side is pushing towards some alternate fuels like CNG
