A Review on Dragon Fruit

Abstract


Hylocereuspolyrhizus and Hylocereusundatus are two species of what are referred to as dragon fruits; they are both in the Cactaceae family. Dragon fruit contains a variety of antioxidants, including flavonoids, hydroxycinnamates, and betalains, which protect cells from free radicals, unstable chemicals linked to aging and the risk of chronic disease. Dragon fruit provides numerous health advantages, such as better immune system function, healthier blood and tissue creation, and enhanced heart and tooth development. Regularly applying this prepared dragon fruit cream to your face can help to prevent or delay the signs of aging. It is also used as a sunburn and acne remedy. Pitayas, commonly known as dragon fruits, have roughly 60 calories per fruit.
