Utilizing Embedded System in Biomedical Industries

Needa Mufsera, Muskan Devaramani, Muskan Tahura

Abstract

The incorporation of embedded systems in medical devices has caused a paradigm shift in the biomedical industry. interoperability, security, and regulatory compliance. The use of embedded systems in biomedical industries is examined in this study, with an emphasis on how they could revolutionise healthcare.  Medical devices that can monitor vital signs, identify illnesses, and offer individualised care have been made possible by embedded systems. These devices can be worn, implanted, or portable.  Real-time data processing, transmission, and capture have been made easier by the use of wireless communication protocols, microcontrollers, and sensors.  As a result, patient outcomes have improved, diagnostic accuracy has increased, and healthcare expenditures have decreased.  The article explores the many uses of embedded systems in the biomedical sector, such as prosthetics, medical imaging, and telemedicine.  The difficulties and potential paths of embedded systems in healthcare are also covered, with a focus on the necessity of security, interoperability, and regulatory compliance.
