An Experimental Attempt to Study on Self Compacting Concrete by Partial Replacement of Coarse Aggregate

Vijayalakshmi. G, Prema. M, Nagamani. S

Abstract

This work addresses relative trial concentrate on light weight Self compacting concrete is profoundly liquid type of substantial that can merge under its own weight, there by lessening the need of any mechanical compaction process. Light weight substantial which incorporates the utilization of light weight totals can decrease the thickness of the substantial and hence the possible related dead loads. An experimental investigation was carried out to study the light weight self compacting concrete using perlite aggregates (0%,5%,10%,15%) partially replacing conventional coarse aggregate. The densities of light self compacting concrete varied from 1870kg/m3 to 1950kg/m3. The M40 grade of concrete mix fresh properties were investigated using light self compacting concrete.
