Repair of cracks in concrete by using Biological methods

Mr. Naveen

Abstract

Many turn, we see some cracks in concrete but the cracks that are small in nature, hardly affects to the structural properties of concrete. But these cracks increase the permeability which reduce the structural stability and durability, specially in the case of humid environment. The crack risk in concrete are based on environmental conditions, in the case of dam and spillway the crack risk are much high. For repairing the cracks in concrete it is necessary that the new material and old material should be combined in such a way that it is able to maintain the durability of structure over the time. In this article we will discuss about the different types of treatment methods for concrete cracks.
