Abstract

Waste management is one of the most common challenging problem in the steel making industry, has generated sustainable solid waste. The primary objective of the project is to increase the strength of the concrete by replacing the fine aggregate with steel slag. The replacement is done as 0%, 20%, 40% and 60% which indeed gives us 4 mixes (CM, MM20, MM40, and MM60) totally. After conducting various tests we can arrive at a conclusion of mixes CM, MM20, MM40, MM60 are relatively of good strength than the conventional mix. Particularly the mix MM60 which consists of steel slag 60% has the highest strength in all tests. The concrete produced were tested to determine compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength.
