A State-of-the-Art Review of Generation Control Strategies for Restructured Power Systems

Nisha Singh

Abstract

A cutting-edge analysis of the Generation Control Strategies (GCSs) used with the reorganized power systems is presented in this research. The applicable control strategies have been used to categorize the existing literature. The use of GCSs in the reorganized or deregulated electricity systems has been emphasized. One of the biggest changes the global power business has seen is the deregulation of the power grid. Throughout the course of more than three decades, the review demonstrates a consistent advancement in the planning and implementation of GCS. Artificial Intelligent Techniques are attaining the projected implementation in design and exploration of GCSs in addition to the traditional optimization of GCSs. Over the past three decades, a great deal of operational and structural changes have occurred in addition to advancements in control tactics. These ideas are assisting researchers and power engineers in effectively managing the increasingly complex, nonlinear, and uncertain modern power systems.
