Intelligent Door Lock System using an advanced IOT

N. Ramadevi, Manjula Jayamma

Abstract

In today’s era, security is one of the most important things in life that everybody wants. As technology advances, people also want their security to be integrated with technology. With the most recent advancements in emerging technologies, IoT is one of the best alternatives that can solve various security related issues. Here is an IOT-based smart door lock system. This system works on wireless technology. This system will consist of a wireless module that connects via Bluetooth and the Internet and communication through it from anywhere around the globe. The user can lock his house door with a smart lock app. The primary goal of this study is to incorporate a locking system that can be unlocked in three ways where we can also open it through our mobile app which is Bluetooth and internet-based technology either with the help of password and voice assistant. An additional element that improves security is the ability for the user to monitor home activity. As the gadget contains 3 features to unlock the door using smart locking system. 1. Using the application unlock button. 2. Using the keypad to unlock using the password which is attached at the door. 3. Using the voice assistant which will be available in the application. It consists of a special feature that is indicates the status of the door whether the door is in open state or in closed state. This gives a best result for the user with the security. In the modern world, having a secure home is crucial. Even with the use of thick, difficult-to-open metal locks, there are still many reasons to be concerned, such as theft and misplacing the keys. Many new technologies have developed recently to address the shortcomings of conventional door locking mechanisms. With just a single click, these alternatives enable remote door access while simultaneously enhancing home security. One such technology that has greatly eased daily living is the Internet of Things, which offers answers for a wide range of issues. This paper discusses door lock systems in conjunction with OTP-driven technology to offer homeowners a high-security alternative. The OTP is produced in this gadget in order to grant door access. This paper discusses the suggested system's working model.
