Developments in the Design of Permeable Asphalt Concrete for Road Construction

Ajay Verma

Abstract

A full-depth porous asphalt (PA) pavement installed on a low-volume roadway's durability, maintenance requirements, hydrologic benefits, and environmental aspects are the primary focus of this paper. This paper completely conceals the plan, development, and implementation of the permeable blacktop. These asphalt pavements that can be used for both roads and parking lots also serve as water storage and infiltration systems. They are in high demand because they give public works officials and site planners the chance to manage storm water in a way that is good for the environment. Porous asphalt structures can provide long-lasting, cost-effective, and attractive parking lots as well as storm water management systems that encourage infiltration and improve water quality with the right design and installation.
