Abstract


ABSTRACT

Piezoelectric energy harvesting systems are attractive for developing next generation self-powered Microsystems. This paper describes the basics of piezoelectricity ,working, sources of energy available, advantages and disadvantages and also transfer function for energy harvesting  derived. the recent advancements in piezoelectric materials and resonator structures. Epitaxial growth and grain texturing of piezoelectric materials is being developed to achieve much higher energy conversion efficiency is discussed.
