Nitin I. Bhopale, Shailesh Kulkami, Shekhar Kausalye

Abstract

God gifted sense to human being which is an important aspect in our life i.e. vision. But there are few persons who lag this skill. Visually impaired people face many challenges when moving in unfamiliar public places. Only some of the navigation systems for visually impaired person can deliver dynamic interactions. The proposed system is used for guiding individuals, who are blind or partially sighted. The system with a GPS used to identify the location of the blind person. The purpose of system is to provide the self-assistance for the visually impaired persons. In case of blind person fall in a dangerous position, the sensor network connected with microcontroller will senses the circumstances and passes the information to the caretakers. The GPS and GSM based navigation system provides the voice alert to avoid obstacle based on ultrasonic sensors.
