Abstract

This paper represents information on Auto-tracking dish antenna system specially for Indian satellites. In this system, a movable parabolic reflector antenna is used to track three Indian Satellites i.e. NSS6, INSAT 4A, INSAT 4B.It is useful in moving vehicles and ships for reception of broadcasted signal from satellites. Quadra LNB is used for reception of encrypted signals, which is connected to multi-switch. From that they received signal is again divided to number of outputs for set top boxes. In marine communication, movements of ships, partly generated by waves, will force the antenna to point away from the satellite and thereby break the communication. Therefore we developed this Auto tracking dish antenna system for effective communication. The ability to maintain communication over large distance has an always important issue. Therefore the efforts have been made to design and develop auto tracking system. This system is useful in the marine ships and moving vehicles.
