Abstract

This paper represents information on auto tracking dish antenna for indian satellite. The system being on the verge of ompletion is originally developed by Korea. Import of the system cost more and also maintainance of the same is a practical difficulty. This also turns the economic issues and time issues in all the activities. This has raised the idea of developing this system in India. The system is mainly used in marine communication where the signal received due to waves of  sea cuases continuous signal distraction. Henec to establish effective communication between satellite and antenna placed on ship we have developed this system This paper represent mechanical part of auto tracking dish antenna. It consists of gears, pulleys, belts, pedestal and dish.

Keyword: Dish antenna, pedestal, gear, timing pulleys
