Effect of Nozzle Expansion Position on Ejector performance - A Study

D. K. Joshi

Abstract

Ejectors have been used for different purposes for past few years. This paper presents a study and analyzes the effect of exit nozzle position (NXP) on the ejector performance. It was establish that the maximum entrainment ratio occurs in the ejector just before a shock occurs. Therefore, the position of nozzle plays a significant role in ejector design parameter. Among other geometrical parameters, the position of the primary nozzle with respect to the mixing chamber may stoutly influence the performance of the ejector. The pressure and temperature are other important parameters affecting the performance of an ejector. The Variable pressure and temperature were useful to find out the optimum entrainment ratio at different position of NXP these two parameters can be controlled separately
