Abstract

The process such as reverse osmosis and dialysis which are not only the energy intensive but also it is uneconomical for small demand of fresh water, hence these process are called as conventional distillation process; However the usage of solar energy have shown that it is highly used for desalination in the area of small demand of fresh water and it’s economical too. Solar energy is one of the most important method for getting clean water from brackish or sea water using free energy method (i.e.) solar energy. In this method by making use of free energy from the sun we are aiming to increase evaporative rate by using vacuum tube which pre-heat the water and sprayed to the solar still Basin.
