Analysing One Dimensional Tapered Pin-Fin using Finite Difference

Abstract


In this research article, a problem of 1-D heat flow through an aluminium tapered pin fin is studied. The numerical computations for temperature variation through the tapered aluminium fin have been conducted using a staggered grid system. Analytical results for the temperature distribution and heat transfer from a tapered aluminium pin fin is derived and evaluated using the finite difference method.
