Design and Analysis of Cylindrical Pressure Vessel & finding maximum Nozzle Failure Load

Abstract


Pressure Vessel is critical Equipment in Oil and Gas Sector & other engineering field since in past we have witnessed that there were some accident happened in plant due to rupture of Pressure Vessel hence in this paper, Design Calculation of Pressure Vessel with PV-Elite Analysis is shown with governing Standards/Codes ASME Sec VIII Div 1 and accordingly Design Step is followed in order to have uniformity across the globe and ensure safety. Apart from Design Steps, other component of pressure vessel like Nozzle also incorporated, since it is delicate part which lead to removal of material while incorporation hence stresses gets induced in the vessel so here the maximum value of the load(Failure Load) is found out from the applied nozzle loads by PV Elite Software.
