A CASE STUDY OF EMISSION FROM EXISTING COOKING STOVES IN THE HILLY REGION OF NEPAL

Abstract


Cooking energy plays vital role in the energy mix of Nepal, where biomass is combusted unconventionally for the generation of energy.Cooking stoves can be divided into three types according to the energy input. Stoves that use electricity for heating, Stoves that use clean fuels like LPG, biogas, ethanol, etc and Stoves that use biomass fuel input such as wood charcoal and other biomass. This paper is about experimental analysis of traditional cooking stoves and improved cooking stoves available at local village of Salambhu,Kavrepalanchowk District.
