Advancements in Heat Transfer Mechanisms and Applications

A. Awasare, V V Rangate

Abstract

Heat transfer is a critical phenomenon underpinning numerous industrial, scientific, and engineering processes. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the latest advancements in heat transfer mechanisms, including conduction, convection, radiation, and phase-change processes. We examine the role of innovative materials, nanotechnology, and modern computational methods in enhancing heat transfer efficiency. Special attention is given to recent developments in high-performance heat exchangers, thermal management in electronic devices, and sustainable energy systems. The review highlights cutting-edge techniques like heat pipes, micro-channel heat sinks, and phase change materials (PCMs). Additionally, we discuss emerging trends in heat transfer research, including the use of machine learning for predictive modeling and optimization, and the integration of heat transfer solutions in renewable energy technologies. This paper aims to provide researchers and practitioners with a thorough understanding of the current state and future directions of heat transfer technology and applications.
