FixMyRoad
Abstract
FixMyRoad is a platform that helps citizens and municipal teams maintain city civic infrastructure. It is a place where you can see exactly what is happening with reported defects such as road damage, water leaks, streetlight failures, garbage accumulation, and drainage blockages, along with repair progress and officer SLA timelines at any time. FixMyRoad makes it so you do not have to rely on traditional, manual complaint reporting methods. It has geospatial boundary tracking, automated hierarchical escalation, and a central command dashboard where all municipal incident logs are shown together. FixMyRoad is built with modern technology like React, Node.js, and Express. It uses MongoDB Atlas to make sure everything is in sync across the cloud. This report is about how FixMyRoad is put together, how it records every complaint update, and how it is designed to keep public infrastructure safe and accountable. FixMyRoad is a tool that can help municipal authorities manage infrastructure efficiently and be more aware of civic maintenance needs. It is really good for local governments who want to improve public safety and urban governance. Additionally, FixMyRoad integrates cloud-powered email notifications, custom location tracking via GPS, and automated SLA timers for escalations. These features enhance governance by automatically escalating unaddressed civic issues to higher authorities and enabling deep monitoring of any municipal jurisdiction.
