Comparative Analysis of Conventional Approach and Automated Approach Used in Lean Six Sigma While Implementing in Supply Chain Management: A Review

Abstract


In this competitive environment Supply Chain Management (SCM) has become an essential administrative technique for any organization technique to survive. With globalization there have been continuous changes in terms of manufacturing and also in providing the service to the customers worldwide. Thus this has made members involved in the supply chain (SC) to re-inspect the individual process and also as a whole. In every organization in order to have better customer satisfaction and reduced wastages there is a need of bringing continuous change in the quality management like Lean Six Sigma (LSS). LSS improvises the quality of distribution in the supply chain. This paper is about the comparative analysis between the two approaches one is conventional and another is automated approach used in the LSS while implementing in SCM. The paper explains how automated approach is having clear edge over the conventional approach.
