Medical Smart E-Card for Keralites
Abstract
This paper proposes to conceptualize a smart card application interface to electronic medical records for the Indian healthcare market and to study the practical applicability of integrating electronic medical record information with an existing service like banking, health insurance or the proposed Citizens’ card. A lot of morbidity and mortality due to drug interactions, allergic reactions or misdiagnoses can be prevented if medical professionals and care givers have access to proper medical records. At lot of times the information is inaccessible, inaccurate, lacking in detail or out dated. Accessing certain vital medical information makes the difference between life and death in an emergency situation
