SMART CITY DASHBOARD
Abstract
As cities grow smarter, the need for platforms that offer citizens and visitors alike simple, timely information to help with everyday decisions is growing at a fast pace. Although numerous tools already offer features such as weather forecasts, air quality alerts, and directions suggestions, they are presently isolated on various apps with different interfaces. As a reply, this project presents one Smart City Dashboard that pulls all these things together on a single easy website. Users will be able to locate any city to view up-to-date data for temperature, humidity, wind speed, air quality, and suggested routes to travel. Every city comes loaded with a dashboard that showcases a general view, local news, travel updates, and information of important locations like restaurants, hospitals, tourist spots, parks, and transport hubs. The site is built with React.js on the front-end and Python Flask on the back-end upon a base of reliable APIs like OpenWeatherMap and IQAir. Geometrically visible features such as Leaflet.js maps, markers, and color-coded visualization provide interactivity and usability to the interface. Placing crucial urban data upfront and center, the dashboard fosters better travel decisions, aids effective urban life, and provides green awareness in city-centered, accessible format.
