Assessing Fire Hazardous Conditions in Electric Vehicles: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract
Electric vehicles (EVs) have gained significant traction as sustainable alternatives to traditional combustion-engine vehicles. However, as EV adoption rises, concerns regarding fire hazardous conditions have emerged. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the key factors contributing to fire hazards in EVs, including battery technologies, thermal management systems, electrical systems, and crash dynamics. Through an analysis of recent incidents and regulatory measures, this study highlights the critical importance of proactive safety measures and standardized protocols in mitigating fire risks associated with EVs. Key words: Electric vehicles, fire hazard, battery technology, thermal management, electrical systems, crash dynamics, safety measures.
