Abstract
Proper human-machine communication is required to fulfill the promise of a powerful computer to assist people in both work and leisure. The first step toward natural interaction between humans and machines is for spoken language to be automatically recognized and understood. There are numerous exciting expectations and new challenges as a result of the remarkable outcomes of this field's research. Natural language processing is the name of this field. Natural language understanding and generation are the topics covered in this paper. This section also discusses NLU difficulties, applications, and comparisons with structured programming languages.
