Design and Development of Arduino-Based Mini- Forklift
Abstract
Material handling plays a vital role in industries, warehouses, and manufacturing units. Forklifts are widely used equipment for lifting and transporting materials, but conventional forklifts are expensive and require skilled operators. This paper presents the Design and Development of an Arduino-Based Mini-Forklift, a compact, cost-effective, and automated prototype suitable for small-scale industrial and educational applications. The system uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller to control lifting and movement mechanisms. DC motors are used for locomotion, while a geared motor with a lead screw mechanism is used for vertical lifting. The prototype demonstrates efficient load lifting, stable control, and programmable automation. The developed system provides a foundation for smart material handling systems in small industries and academic laboratories.
