Abstract


The paper "Innovative Voter Authentication: A Novel Approach to Leveraging Fingerprint Technology for Electoral Integrity" addresses the pressing challenges faced by the Indian electoral system, including voter fraud, proxy voting, and inefficiencies in voter verification. By integrating fingerprint technology, the project aims to enhance electoral integrity and transparency. Utilizing hardware components such as R307 Fingerprint Module and esp8266 Microcontroller, and software tools including Arduino IDE, XAMPP Server, and VS Code, the system is developed using Embedded C, Core PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and SQL. Encryption techniques like MD5 ensure data security, while integration with Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, and Ration Card databases enables robust voter verification. The implementation of the system significantly reduces the risk of voter impersonation and fraudulent voting, fostering public trust in the electoral process. By streamlining the voting process and eliminating the need for physical voter ID cards, the system enhances efficiency and reduces administrative burden. Overall, the paper demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of leveraging fingerprint technology to strengthen electoral integrity, paving the way for secure, transparent, and inclusive elections in India.
