Abstract
IoT enabled health monitoring applications are increasing day by day. Same is the case of healthcare data captured by these devices and the protection laws of various countries. This study is an analysis of data protection laws of different countries. To analyze laws of various countries used to protect healthcare data. Here in this article we are putting forward the inspection of 6 healthcare protection laws of various countries currently in use.General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) of the European Union is a popular one and is used as a benchmark for various data protection laws. The data protection laws in various countries can be considered feasible only as long as the custodian duty of safe keeping of public health authorities is maintained; this means that the non primary use of sensitive healthcare data shall come up with the public interest and/or to safeguard the vital concern of the data subjects. This can be achieved only if all nodes available under the health data space come up with the required organizational and technical security measures needed to fulfill their bit part.
