Robotic Solutions, Usefulness & Obstacles in Elderly Care [Part I: The Developed Nations]

Sabin Huda

Abstract

As a blessing of better and advanced medical consciousness, today there is rise in life anticipation. Again this pandemic situation has pinpointed the crucial fact of prioritizing the medical and health services in every respect, especially for the most helpless citizens of our society, the elderly inhabitants. This study perceives assistive robotic use, thus the Healthcare Robots to be a good solution to the problems of the aged which can be achieved through implementing assistive technology and artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector. Research works in many developed nations are now exploring the use of Robotic Technology as a solution to address the health needs of the aged population. As such this research reviews the robotic solutions, usefulness and limitations in elderly care especially in developed nations.
