Voice Based Managing Home Appliances using Mobile

Dr A R JayaSudha, Vinoth Krihnan K.

Abstract

The development of a smart home system is the primary emphasis of this project. This system will enable users to operate electrical appliances in their homes by connecting a device, like an Android phone, to their home's Bluetooth or internet network. The management of house appliances is going to be handled by means of home automation using mobile technology. It gives you the ability to operate household appliances such as light bulbs, fans, and televisions, among other things, by clicking a button on your mobile device from any location. There is no necessity of a particular control for this purpose. Using this application, the individual can take control of any home equipment. Therefore, if you are leaving the house and realise that you neglected to turn off the lights or other appliances, you can use your mobile phone to turn off the equipment in question. This system modifies the serial connection of the devices with a Bluetooth module and an Arduino microcontroller that are attached to the main circuit board. The microcontroller will then operate the household appliances via a switch circuit that is connected to the main circuit board. Individuals who are physically challenged will have an easier time controlling their house appliances, such as lights, fans, air conditioners, and other similar devices, with the assistance of a smart home system. Users are able to activate the controls regardless of their location so long as the device is in close proximity to the Bluetooth signal emanating from the primary panel. Additionally, users have the ability to operate the appliances through an internet connection by submitting an email to a predetermined address.
